We hope to see a community of Filipino parents who have a deep awareness of positive and effective parenting styles and practices, are open to learning knowledge and skills related to parenting, and are equipped and motivated to nurture the connections they have within their families. We envision a generation of children who grow up in a warm, safe, and loving environment that promotes holistic development, so they may become healthy, secure, and empowered individuals.
Here at Nurturing Connections, our mission is to highlight the importance of having healthy parent-child relationships as the core of a happy and loving family. We want to empower and support parents in cultivating effective parenting practices that create an environment that is optimal for holistic child development. Our goal is to provide support services, evidence-based tools and resources, and opportunities to practice specific skills that can help them enhance the connections they have with themselves, their children, other family members, and the community.
Fostering Parent-Child Relationships Rooted in Love
The roots of the framework represent the foundational principles of connected parenting that foster a healthy environment for the growth and development of children. The soil that nourishes the roots symbolizes the core values of Nurturing Connections, as we collaborate with and support you.
The trunk represents our services, which aim to help parents strengthen their relationships with themselves and their children. We tackle themes that support and strengthen parent-child relationships, such as positive discipline, effective communication, and emotion regulation, and more.
The branches symbolize specific skills that parents can practice and apply in their everyday interactions at home. By having such skills, parents can be more equipped and confident in their abilities to raise healthy and empowered children and build a warm and loving home.
The fruits represent the vision of Nurturing Connections for parents, their families, and the community. They also symbolize the goals that parents have for themselves as they experience parenthood.
